About Us

Our Vision
 
Following the Lord’s guidance, we formed Rare Jewel Ministries and launched Rare Jewel Magazine (read the Assist News Service article, “Magazine Founder Puts Everything on the Line to Obey God.”
 
In Matthew 10:8, Christ instructs us, “Freely you have received, freely give.” Likewise, the Apostle Paul proclaims, “What then is my reward? Just this: that in preaching the Gospel I may offer it free of charge” (1 Cor 9:18).
 
God freely gave us the vision for, and invited us to join Him in this mission called Rare Jewel Magazine -- a mission to proclaim the Kingship of Jesus Christ over all areas of life: our selves, our families, our communities and states, and our nation -- in both spiritual and temporal matters. As the Lord provides, we will likewise “freely give” Rare Jewel Magazine and related products and services to others.

Overview

Rare Jewel Magazine is inspired by Proverbs 20:15, "Lips that speak knowledge are a rare jewel."

Today's culture in the United States of America increasingly rejects the Judeo-Christian God and the Biblical worldview upon which the laws and principles of our great country were founded. A simple study of our nation's history reveals as fact its Christian heritage and Biblical foundation. However, we rarely (if ever) hear about this foundation in traditional information and educational resources. Romans 1:18-25 certainly speaks of the time in which we now live, "men who suppress the truth-although they claimed to be wise, they became fools-they exchanged the truth of God for a lie." Similarly, we read in 2 Timothy 4:3-4, "For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths."

In response to Psalms 11:3 which states, "When the foundations are being destroyed, what can the righteous do?", the publishers of Rare Jewel Magazine endeavor to provide practical knowledge to lovers and protectors of our nation's heritage, to expand this body of knowledge among our citizenry, and to equip citizens to make a difference in our culture via analysis of today's news and trends in light of a Biblical world and life view.

Our Mission

Readers can count on Rare Jewel Magazine to provide clear and easy to understand analysis on today's important topics to help them protect their families and reestablish our nation's Christian heritage. It is our mission to publish practical content that will enable readers to obtain an in-depth understanding about today's trends and issues and their ramifications in our culture and our families.

Our editorial content is designed specifically to help readers broaden their spheres of influence and to enable them to make a difference while speaking the truth with humility, love, and compassion. In I Peter we are instructed to use gentleness and respect (without fear) when speaking the truth, when making our defense, and to always be prepared to do just that. Rare Jewel Magazine addresses topics head on, with clarity, with guts, and with honor as God's Word instructs us. 1 Peter 3:14-15, "Do not be frightened-always be prepared to give an answer-do this with gentleness and respect."

We welcome article submissions and suggestions. Rare Jewel Magazine publishes articles that fulfill one or more of the following editorial objectives:

1. to help our readers uncover and analyze today's important trends and events from a Christian Biblical perspective
2. to educate our readers about American history and its providential founding built on Judeo-Christian principles of law, morality, and family
3. to ensure our readers acquire practical knowledge of facts and issues regarding trends and events that have had, are having, or will have a significant impact on the culture in the United States
4. to encourage a multigenerational vision--to live as did the Pilgrims, Puritans, and our Founding Fathers--placing high importance on living today for the benefit of future generations (our posterity)
5. to teach our readers how to engage the broader culture in a principled and persuasive way, how to approach people whose views are quite different from their own, and to encourage action with a consistent spirit of kindness and respect towards friend or foe
6. to provide a call to action, to help our readers learn how to apply knowledge gained from the above items with the intention that they will have an increasing influence on our culture as they endeavor to protect and reestablish our nation's Christian heritage.
